i absolutely loooove dolls with this hair texture, they always look so effortlessly gorgeous. the only thing that i don't like is once you stretch out the curls, it's so hard to get them back into their original curl pattern /: i hope that i can figure out a way to bounce back stretched out it curls. anyone have any tips??

ah! forgot show everyone recent stuff which got 😊 i got another L.O.L suprise doll, a sonic toy that has stretchy/squishy body, two new books and snacks!! this from shop when mother went not long ago few days!

there they are when took picture as got them! so so cool got a bunny vs monkey hardcover!!! havent got a hardcover for this yet! i collect bunny vs monkey comics 😊 also collect Diary Of The Wimpy Kid! most books which have from are from charity shop or mothers job but she see that one on shelf with also % off and she bought! its the newest diary of the wimpy kid books!

then there are snacks which got, they some stuff can eat! already had pack of fruit and nut mix one of the packs there and also the prawn crackers! still have nerds gummy clusters, mini cheddars, buttermintoes, smarties and one pack fruit and nut mix!

Dolls are awesome.

But modern doll lines.....are FUCKING WEIRD

I am specifically talking about LOL dolls.

Little outrageous Littles.

When I first saw them I assumed they were just chibi dolls. With those giant, bobbly heads and big round eyes. Sure they looked childlike but that's the point of Chibis. To look cute. And what's cute? Big eyes round features. And those features are childlike.

With that out of the way imagine my shock when I realized they're supposed to be actual toddlers. Scantily clad, or inappropriately clothed toddlers.

I mean most dolls look fine. They're supposed to mimick modern fashion trends or celebrities' styles. However it is still weird to put a toddler character in fishnets and lingerie or wear underwear that says "babe".

The worst offender in my opinion, is a toddler character in an outfit, that resembles what students wear in certain types of videos. It was supposed to reference Britney Spears but yeah. Still not exactly appropriate for a toddler to wear.

The questionable fashion isn't everything though. These dolls could cry, puke or pee. The dolls that had the last feature also have a hole in their crotch.

Yes it's all imaginary but I just despise this trend of adultifying children.

Whether is in fiction through media or dolls....or even in real life, with clothing, especially that for little girls. Clothing made for girls is generally tighter, shorter and more resembling that what adults might wear.

A couple years after LOL debuted, the LOL OMG dolls would be released. Adult versions of the little toddler dolls. Those were fine. Still looked weird but to be honest the clothes looked awesome and from what most toy reviewers stated, were pretty good quality too with a ton of intricacies.

Hell even if the styles were more akin to what adult collector dolls might get, I would've loved to have dolls like that as a kid. With all those intricate little accessories to play with. That's pretty good. Gotta give them that.

But still those dolls bodies look like if Kim Kardashian and Elastigirl had a child and the heads look like a severe case of hydrocephalus.

Im saying....these look more like something for adult collectors.

But they are advertised to young kids. Which I find weird.

Id appreciate insight from any actual doll collectors. What do you think? Do you know anything I don't? Feel free to add your opinions.

My entire doll & pony collection

So I've been talking about dolls alot on my doll account (which this technically should go to, but I want to post here instead). I just want to make a lil appreciation post about about my fav dolls right now.

I saw a couple new dolls recently that are gamer girls and I just want to highlight how many there are right now.

We have the roughly 11-12 inch dolls that are both gamer girls. I just saw the LOL one recently and wanted to highlight her and the RH/SH doll. They both have the cat headphones and some gamer accessories. Pinkie has a cute switch type handheld, while Ace has a gameboy-esque over-the-shoulder bag. I can't explain really, but Pinkie looks like a proper twitch streamer while Ace looks like an e-sports girlie. They cover both vibes of gamer girl in a nice way while still having similar elements.

We also have Ghoulia from the new g3 MH who is a gamer and skater. I love how she has a switch like handheld as well and in her secrets version she has a laptop and controller earrings. I know she also was a gamer in MH g1 too, but it wasn't as obvious in the dolls, her love for comics was more so (not a bad thing, just isn't what I'm currently highlighting). She doesn't really have strong vibes like the other 2 with how she is as a gamer except maybe being a fan of the "oldies"/old school gamer.

Next we have a true newcomer, she's a doll a part of a new up and coming doll line called Secret Findees Magic Mailbox. She's a tiny (2 inch) fairy type strawberry based gamer in a literal pink mailbox. She gives me massive v-tuber vibes (not negative of course) and feels like a true cozy gamer. I feel like she and I could play slime rancher together or somethin and we'd vibe great (or animal crossing).

Next we have these two lol dolls from the arcade cabinet line (series 1 and 2 respectively). These were the 2 super rare dolls in each series of the line. Two young arcade girlies just dressing up in power ranger type outfits hanging out with the boys. I will never stop loving the concept behind their line, literal arcade cabinets with the dollls, outfits, and accessories inside with a coin operating mechanic.

All in all these dolls each have a diff vibe while all fitting the aesthetic and terms of "gamers" and "gamer girls" and I love each and every one of them. Also I know I probably left some out, not on purpose I just can't remember a lot of them with proper set gamer stuff as a tag line sort of to them.
